Amritara Surya - A Luxury Spa Retreat

Top location - only 200 metres from the Dalai Lama's Monastery and a stone throw from the centre of Mccleodganj shops and markets. The staff were amazing and always had a warm smile.

They didn't automatically clean the room and had to ask for supplies.

The location was good and the views were stunning.

There was a loud party with noise coming through the room until 12.30am. It would be useful if the staff could advise of this before and offer a quieter room.

Great location in Mc'gang. Very close to Dalai lama complex and good restaurants, cafes etc. Size of room was very good with separate dining and sitting area. Views from room were spectacular. Staff were eager to help and pleasant to deal with.

Price! We were there whilst England were playing test cricket so expected to pay a bit over the odds however the rate was extortionate given the standard of hotel. Cleanliness definitely below par, furniture in some of the rooms was very tired , scratched , marked badly. Breakfast was OK but nothing great, which was s shame as the dining room could have been a high point given the view. We decided against eating any dinners there.

Hearing not working. It was cold. They did give us a fan heater though.
