Large double room with spacious ensuite

The room was very clean and comfortable the breakfast was a very nice hamper with a good chose options

What a great find. Lovely welcome from Karen and great communication before. A lovely, clean large room, with a fabulous bathroom. We had a great night's sleep and woke up to an amazing so well presented breakfast, left outside our room. A good selection of teas and coffee in room too.

I did not glean from the property info or the reviews that this is literally one room in the home and not a traditional B&B. My husband was not thrilled about this situation, but at least we had very little interaction with the proprietor. Parking on the verge is not ideal; I wonder how our wheels stayed round. There were no amenities in the bathroom, no shampoo/conditioner or bath gel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a very thin mattress on a hard surface. It seems to be missing the box spring.

No issues at all and anything we asked was attended to immediately.

Very good continental breakfast in my room. Rather than a fridge, I would have liked a toaster and some bread. Very convenient being within few minutes walk to the station, or 10 mins walk to main road and bus.

I couldn't make the towel rail work, but not too bothered so didn't ask for help. I got a message from Karen asking what time I would arrive. I could find no way to reply, Booking .com couldn't accept my reply, and I tried ringing but answer said not available at the moment, try later. Just fortunate someone around when I arrived about 4pm.

Lovely carpet! Gorgeous bathroom, met one of the dogs who was so adorable, breakfast was fun, both hosts were kind and polite, the room looked thoroughly cleaned, smelt lovely, the fridge was a great touch, overall fun experience, we liked hearing the chickens in the morning and we didn't feel like a bother staying in the hosts house!

Beautifully presented, lovely to have a fridge, breakfast was varied.

The mattress was very thin on one side, possibly had not been turned regularly. TV was difficult- it didn't seem to have terrestrial channels.
