Historic Townhouse Oasis with En-suite Bathroom

Not very clean, broken bed making it very hard to sleep - constantly falling into holes as bed base was broken, not working kettle, other guests constantly smoking weed in their rooms which i don't mind but no emergency exit in case of fire,no extinguisher in sight.

The digital lock box on the front door was filthy, it was covered in gunk. I could also smell the inside of the building from outside the front door.

It was filthy, front door, digital lock box, the hallways, the stairs, the walls. All disgusting, dirty and smelly. My room was in the basement and looked nothing like the listing, far far lower quality and just creepy honestly. It also reeked of cigarettes so badly I immediately left. I have been trying to get a refund ever since without any luck.

It was ina gpod location well maintained and walking distance to stores and restaurants.

The location is amazing as it sits close to the subway and it is only several stations to the city hall. The price is reasonable.

The biggest problem of the room is that there is no where to put your bags or hang your clothes. There is only one small chair and a biscuit size coffee table. Cockroaches can be found inside the room. The room sits in the basement and there is no ventilation at all. You can literally hear all movement on the above floor. The tap water is yellow in colour. The description in Booking.com is misleading: (1) the bathroom is not genuinely ensuite (2) the price of the room actually costs $4 more than stated as there is a non-refundable deposit not mentioned during the booking. Would not recommend if you prefer a "livable" room. However, if you are highly price sensitive and location focused, you can hardly find other comparable in Philly.
