Historic Townhouse Oasis with En-suite Bathroom

Traveling to enjoy the 4th of July we booked this room at this historic location with an en-suite bathroom. Had a wonderful time in Philly and the room provided everything needed to enjoy the city, clean, cozy and friendly.

My wife wanted soap and more towels.

Close to subway station. Quiet neighborhood.

Shower wasn‘t working. Told them the day I arrived, they promised to fix it the next day which didn‘t happen and no one told me during the day. So I had to tell them again. And the next three following days someone came over but no one was able to fix it! So I had a non-working shower for 6 days! When I asked for a discount, they offered me 20$ at first for the whole stay…

I like the price but the quality is so poor and the cleanliness as well.

Until now I am recovering from the itching and severe coughing I got by using the sheets and comforter. I think they don’t clean and sanitize them.

Location was ok

On entering property my first thought was "this is what you get for budget accommodation " then I remembered what I had paid, $159. I didn't bother using the bathroom in morning as I just wanted to get out of there. I have pictures to justify my own rating. 1. Not clean, the toilet seat needed wiping 2. No privacy in toilet, as I was using it I was looking out into the yard watching people come and go 3. The shower was disgusting, mouldy. I didn't bother washing 4. The carpet was dirty I didn't walk in my bare feet 5. Stains all over the ceiling 6. Air con was an open dirty drain/vent on the floor and was very noisy 7. The bedding appeared clean so there's a positive.

The place is very dirty, the air conditioning doesn't work, the Wi-Fi doesn't work! Even though it's their fault, they don't accept cancellations, forcing you to stay in unsanitary conditions and without any conditions to spend a night with dignity. The worst of all is not having support from Boooking! I left the place after 30 minutes, time to record everything with photos! A nightmare!

Nothing, it was loud I could hear ppl running around the house all night. The room wasn’t clean no curtains on the windows.

I didn’t like how disgusting the property was. Above all the security deposit taking 8-15 business days to be refunded is madness.

bathroom light was too dim

It was just semi ok. There was no curtain in the windows for privacy. It was cold in the room. Unable to close the vent and no extra blankets. Worse of all it's in the HOOD!! I t was 50 people outside smoking weed with babies and children running around. I had to ask people to get off the step coming in and going out. I would NEVER go back here or recommend this place to anyone. Not safe. I know this neighborhood. I thought it got better after I left 10 years ago. Just got worse
