Potions Loft

Great location close to the centre, easy to find, clean and comfortable stay and lovely comms with the property owner, very close to Harry Potter World which was the reasoning for our travels to Watford.

Shared parking with the neighbours so had to move vans/cars every now and then but this wasn’t a massive problem as neighbours were friendly! nothing negative to say really!

The main bed is really soft and we didn't sleep well at all, The mattress could do with changing to be honest. Parking is very tight, they request you go right to the back of the drive for the owner who lives at the property to still fit his car/van he leaves early hours we were able to drive out at 9.50. Property is difficult to find if you are out of the area and on a one way street. I suggest a day time arrival, late arrival makes it more difficult.

Good location- nice restaurants and close to the Harry Potter Studios.

It suggested there were 2 rooms and a sofa bed but there was only one double and the sofa. Also the parking was unclear, we were lucky to be helped by a neighbour.

Location was perfect, the apartment was lovely and fit for purpose, host was friendly and helpful

The blinds in the bedroom had half the blinds missing. Sofa bed was a bit hard to sleep on and needed a bit of a good dust around the apartment

Cleanliness was terrible .. The room smelt like smoke a weed .. very poor conditions .. Parking was promised but nothing available upon arrival.. front door open for anyone to walk in ..

Apartment was perfect 👍

Maybe instructions on how to turn on heating 🙂

That I didn’t book a second night

Contacted the property twice before my trip to ensure we could leave our bags at a certain time as we had an attraction booked, our host agreed then gave no directions to the loft besides a postcode provided by the website and this postcode did not bring us directly to our stay. He didn’t answer the phone when we rang, didn’t reply to our message and made no effort to show up to meet us at the agreed time. After seven attempts to ring him he eventually answered and told us how to find the loft and where the key was. No apology for delaying us or acknowledgement he had not shown up or given clear directions. This should have been specified before we arrived. Furthermore the loft was in as the host described on the phone a “warehouse”, it was smelly, cold and the bedsheets did not smell fresh. It felt to us like the host doesn’t have a very hands on approach to hospitality. Takes the booking but gives very little in return. Also the bed was terrible. My husband and I spent the whole night trying to climb out of the dip in the mattress which affected our sleep dreadfullly.

The quater was nice with tiny houses. Very close to Harry Potter studios. The appartment was nicely designed.

The kitchen and dishes were dirty. The kitchen desk was oily. We had to wash them. We were not sure if sheets were clean or somebody slept in them before us.
