Our visit was wonderful, itz just what we needed. To reflect ,and feel at peace. Trevor went over & beyond with all lovely touches in cabin. Proseco ,milk & bread, eggs. Fresh cut flowers. It was a peace of heaven .

Couldnt find fault

Here's a little self-catering retreat on old farm grounds in a very peaceful area in Whitemoor, just down from the lakes and from Holt Heath. Trevor, the owner, built it on his own and a picture book tells you all about the experience. It is cosy, warm with log fire if you want or radiated heat otherwise. I was there for my 79th birthday and Trevor had a tasty cake waiting, everything we liked for breakfast, and this secluded converted barn hidden away behind the main house. Martha's Retreat has a TV and lots of DVDs, comfy bed, views out to the fields through the windows, and birds all around to cheer us in the morning. Delightful. Trevor met us a bit after we arrived and we had a good long talk with him; generous fellow with all the extras he provided. We drove 2 minutes up to the heath and walked; one can go for miles. Wimborne Minster nearby, has a quaint town high street and 1300 year old church that you have to see!

Hard to say. It is not luxury if that's what you want, but it is a retreat from the workaday world as the rest of time goes by.

Peaceful just what was needed ✌️ the owner Trevor was fantastic he thought of everything, we will be back. Weather was brilliant, Wimborne is lovely lots of walks, pubs and cafes.

I was in the area for work but always prefer to stay in a self contained unit, I prefer the quiet after a physical day. The location is very quiet and peaceful, the Lodge has everything you need, Trevor provided bread, milk, eggs, tea, coffee and even breakfast granola and muesli. The local pub The Old Inn serves very very good food and their service was also excellent, this seems to be a lost art in many places since covid.

No WiFi seemed to be available, Trevor is this something you could consider?

What was not to like! Martha’s retreat has everything you could need! All in the detail with no stone left unturned! Quiet, peaceful, personalised with thoughtful touches that were a wonderful surprise! Log burner! Shower is better than mine at home, great pressure! Comfy bed… books, dvds… fantastic escape! Our best ever stay by far. Peaceful. Loved the grounds! The list goes on…

Genuinely could not pick any faults at all!

Relaxing, quiet location. Warm and cozy. Well equipped. Comfortable. Thoughtfully put together. Nothing too much trouble.
