GBThe room was lovely, the decor was perfect. It had a lovely bath and spacious shower, with a double sink. The bed was huge and the room had lots of floor space. During our stay a lady came and asked if we needed anything topping up, like towels etc. really handy having a boot wash outside.
The property could have done with some more clothes storage, such as coat pegs and maybe a shoe rack as you came in. Especially with the location and lots of people doing hikes and needing to dress for all weather.

GBThis was our 3rd stay at The Penn, we absolutely loved how cosy the room was and it’s in the perfect location with easy access to Windermere in walking distance and Ambleside a short drive away. Some lovely little touches in the room too.
A minor thing, but the design of the sink/tap meant that water would splash everywhere as the tap was a lot higher up from the basin

NZWe loved staying at The Penn. It felt like a hybrid between a hotel and an Airbnb, where you get all the extra touches of a hotel but with the simplicity of an Airbnb. We absolutely love the interior design, an old but new feeling.

GBEverything! The aesthetic is so pretty. Extremely comfortable bed. I loved my stay and wish I booked two nights as I really didn’t want to leave. The location was perfect and as a solo traveler I felt very safe. The extra touches made it even more special, thank you 💕
