The Steam Packet

The hosts are wonderful. The location is superb. The little touches at breakfast like cherries, satsumas, and a trip out to get us some white bread, were lovely. The information about where to go for local interests was good.

There was nothing we didn’t like. We thought the kitchen facilities in the room were rather large for the space but this would probably be most welcome by some. We had a room on the road side of the property and it was very hot during our stay and, with the windows open there is a little noise from the train station and the road.

Very friendly couple managing the propery. Amazing view from our window. Loved the fact there was kitchen in the room with kettle, oven and fridge. Located just next to rail station, very comfortable to travel to London and across the South. Will definitely stay there again

Cute rooms by the river. Both Arleta and Mark very accommodating. Was perfectly situated for our needs.

Everything. The location, the room, the facilities, everything was perfect, clean, convenient and Mark andArleta are wonderful.

Absolutely lovely location on the river. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Mark and Arleta were absolutely delightful, very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic.

It would have been nice if the pub has still been in use but it being closed didn’t detract from our stay at all.

The owners and location

The location for me is superb. My hosts were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and available. A very well prepared and served breakfast each morning My studio was ideal with dual aspects so I could sit and watch the river Arun flow . A five minute walk to the town centre, parking on site. Most of all a beautiful river side walk all the way to west beach the quieter beach Overall a wonderful 4 day, 'battery' recharging break

Nothing is perfect, but the idiosyncrasies in this lovely quirky atmosphere amount to nothing.
