The dirty floors and the damage everywhere never mind the deposit I’m having to fight to get back

Still no refund – poor communication and rude service Me and my partner stayed at this hot tub hideaway last Thursday and were told we’d get our £250 deposit refunded the next day. It’s now been [insert number of days] and we still haven’t received it. We’ve tried calling and messaging multiple times with no luck. We finally got a call back from a staff member yesterday who was quite rude and dismissive. She claimed the refund was being processed and blamed an issue with the bank — but nothing has come through. This experience has completely taken the shine off what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get our own money back, especially after being told it would be a quick return. Disappointing and unprofessional

The location was the only positive.

The toilet leaked a urine coloured liquid after a couple of hours and the hot tub had chewing gum stuck to the bottom with a pair of bikini bottoms left on the floor beside it. There were no extra toilet rolls, so we had to buy our own. The shower felt like it was about to break, and overall, the place was poorly maintained. On the day of our arrival, we tried to contact the host all day with no response; our calls and emails were ignored until about an hour before our estimated arrival (around 7:30pm) which left us unsure if we’d even have a room that night.
