Trang Toan Hotel

Location is great. The owners help with organizing transportation and on the last day we got breakfast to go. At first, we got a really wet room and they changed it for another one.

On our first day, we waited for breakfast in the lobby for 50 minutes and no one came (and this was in the time frame of breakfast). When they came, we had to leave for the tour.

It is a great place to stay, the owners are very friendly, they help you in everything they can even though they speak very little English. Very close to everything!

Nice location, good people who own the hotel.

Very loud. You can hear everything through the walls and there were very loud guests at 6 am.

Good location. Close to things but down a side street so not too loud. Free basic breakfast was a nice touch (although it started around 7:30 instead of 6:30). Cheap moto bike rental (100.000 dong) The women who worked there / family members were very friendly and kind and tried to help when the Wi-Fi wasn’t worked. Would stay again.

Had a hard time communicating with staff, which is fine of course since we’re in another country, but something to note. Sometimes also difficult to find staff. Not a social place. Don’t go here to meet other travelers since there’s not really a place to hang out.

Nice location, decent room.

We asked to change our room for a better one, but we were denied that even though the new room was completely empty for days. Breakfast 🍳 one egg and instant coffee.

The location is good, though be aware it's up the hill a bit. Lots of restaurants around. The place was comfortable and despite all the other reviews, not too humid. Maybe that's a seasonal thing. Breakfast was fine, simple choice though a little on the oily side. The price is very low and so can't complain much, it really did the job of a budget stay in Cat Ba

The place needs some love. It's dated. The bathroom looks more recently updated by the main room, facilities and towels are tired. The staff was fine, though if you expect more happy active service then maybe this isn't the place for you
