Trang Toan Hotel

This place is fantastic. The location is fantastic close to all the cafes restaurants and bars, the rooms are nice and clean and have lots of space. The best part is the staff, some may say there’s a language barrier but they translate anything that is needed and just can’t do enough for you. He booked our boat trip, bus to Ninh Binh and our scooter hire too. He even dropped us at the bus station and sent us on our way with a pre-packed breakfast - the nicest people! Thank you so much.

The mattress could be a bit more comfortable.

Close to the center, fresh rooms and really nice staff (a looovley family). Helped us book tours and buses for cheaper price and we also rented a motorbike for a cheap price too. Would really recommend this Hotel!

Our room was pretty a bit damp. I think this is a common problem in the North though as the weather is damp and humid. Might just be that room we did go for the budget room.

Nice hotel, very clean. Big rooms and bathrooms. Simple but good breakfast included in the price. Excellent location: a couple of minutes walk to the sea front, very near the beaches, where you can swim, and a beautiful walkway along the coast. Near the market where you'll find a good and inexpensive place to eat. Also plenty of restaurants and bars around. The family who runs the hotel is very nice. Cat Ba is beautiful but best to avoid the weekend which gets extremely busy.

There was high humidity in the room, but the owner is not responsible for that. The weather is not good, just keep in mind that it is a cheap hotel, but for the price it was great

Homestay as a true meaning. Could not be more thankful for the hospitality here. I was feeling ill, and they not only helped me find a clinic, but they also came and checked on me and brought water to the clinic, in addition to helping translate with the doctor. They also let me stay in the room later until my bus and took us to the bus station. These acts of kindness cannot be forgotten!

Free breakfast was nice and the tours/transported organised with the hotel were really good and cheaper than others

Really nice family, amazing price and decent breakfast. Also very helpful in booking tour and bus. Extremely good value for money

A/c didn't work and room was damp. But we just left the fan running all day and it wasn't too bad
