Maison Barn Laos

This is a clean, comfortable and quiet hotel, with good comfortable beds and good air conditioning and fridges in rooms. The breakfast is good (omlette / toast / fruit), and it has a nice outdoor seating area. The location is excellent, being about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the busy night market. There are lots of upmarket eating places close by, and cheap eats further up by the night market. The hotels rates for tours and trips are competitive and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.

The only downside for us was the size of the room - there are 8 rooms in total, and ours was very small, so just be aware that the double room is liveable, but cramped. We managed and would stay again.

Lovely comfortable room. Fantastic location in easy walk to great restaurants and market. The staff were helpful getting us train tickets and hiring their scooter. I liked that the shower was separate (not over the toilet which seems to be common here).

Shower was flooded as runoff was too slow! Yucks! Asked for take away breakfast as I had to leave very early for airport. Breakfast came out of cold refrigerator in plastic packets and no utensils! Air conditioners noisy

Lovely staff. Helpful and very kind. Lovely hotel in the heart of the old city. Beautiful room. Amazing decoration. Shower and bathroom were incredible (in Laos it's not always the case)! It was quiet and clean. I loved it! I definitely recommend it!

Had an awesome stay at Maison Barn. Staff is super lovely and helpful, breakfast was good. They have a nice courtyard, where you can sit in the morning and evening. Location is superb, coffeeshops, riverside, boutiques, nice restaurants and nightmarket are in within walking distance. They also have bikes for rent and arrange a couple of tours. If i ever return, I will definitely book my stay here again. Perfect for a solo traveller. LuangXang has a slow and relaxed vibe.

Centrally located, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Our room was spacious and quiet and the shower was great! We booked a few things (tour, transport) through the front desk and everything was very smooth. Enjoyed the option for Khao Soi at breakfast!

Our ground floor windows just opened to the wall of the next building, and one was just a screen so you had to keep the shutters closed if the a/c was on - so, it kept the room dark with little daylight. Also would have loved real coffee at breakfast - was only Nescafe, so we went out for the real thing.
