Der Check-In verlief einwandfrei, von dem Hotel sind wir dann mit einem Taxi zur Unterkunft gebracht worden. Vor Ort gab es zwei Aufenthaltsräume, welche hervorragend waren um gemeinsam Spiele zu spielen oder den Tag revue passieren zu lassen. Das "westliche" Bett war sehr bequem, wobei de AC leider auf das linke Bett sehr stark kalte Luft geblasen hat, was durch die Einstellung leider nicht ganz vermeidbar war. Die Betten auf dem Futon waren sehr bequem und ein echtes Erlebnis. Von der Lage kann man sagen, dass die Unterkunft etwas abseits liegt, allerdings Bushaltestellen und auch eine Bahnstation zu Fuß max. 15 Minuten entfernt waren.

It was a beautiful little house and such a treat to have a little garden. Everything was spotless and the staff were so helpful. We had a great time.

Quite a long walk in the heat (we visited in Summer) to get around Kyoto and to the house itself. We had to use taxis a couple of times - inexpensive. Not a problem with the property itself but something to beware of before booking.

The house was beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable for our group of 6! Beds comfortable, and living room was a great space for friends and family to sit around after long walking days. Amazing bathroom with every amenity possible. Even a washer for laundry :)

Nothing we didn’t like, but note you will be a short walk from most stations and bus stops. There is a lawson right around the corner to stock up on snacks and drinks. This property is located in a very quiet residential area which is really nice.

Very nice location in Kyoto, calm neighbourhood, close the train station. The house is very authentic in every way, equipped with everything you need to stay with a group of friends. It's not a hotel, so don't expect the same, but for what it is, which is authentic Kyoto experience - it is awesome. Has a wonderful atmosphere.

No complaints, for what it is it would be hard to improve.

Need to go to reception to check in and get keys first which is about 5 min drive but have a lot of cool amenities at reception and they gave us a ride to the house upon check in

It's a beautiful house with very nice shower toilet and really quality amenities - really thick cotton pads, 4 blade razers, quality shaving gel and bath salts etc.

I would not recommend if your party is more than 4 persons. While there is two dry toilets, there is only 1 wet toilet (shower/tub). That means that if your party is large, it is going to take sometime before everyone gets to shower/enjoy the huge tub. While the place has two levels, its actual usable space is very small since the rooms are filled with the bed and the walkway are extremely narrow. The only real area is the living room but it will also be quickly filled with your luggage. Soundproofing is also quite bad. Location is also not convenient, you will need to take bus. In general, I felt catfish by the photos into thinking it is a larger than depicted space. I would not stay here again due to its premium price/inconvenient location/small usable area/single wet toilet.

So beautiful, all the little details were so appreciated especially as a family traveling with three children. Very comfy, so much space, easy to get to anywhere and a supermarket very close by. Highly recommend

We had booked for 5 but our youngest was 5, would have been nice to know he wasn’t accounted for in bedding. Would have been happy to pay extra for a bed for him as there was ample room.

Unique traditonal Japanese machiya experience . The house kept its traditonal features but was equiped with modern facilities. The automatic heated hot tub(with garden view) is amazing! Spacious room. Super helpful staff. Quiet neighbourhood.
