The Stroud Hotel

Arrival was excellent. We had booked a Junior Suite, however I would class the room we had as a luxury double. Staff were excellent. Dinner was superb, great choice of wine and spirits.

Breakfast. We sat down for breakfast at 9.25. No one attended to us until 10.15. By the time our food arrived it was 10.30 and chck out was 11am. Breakfast was not that good. One plate was missing sausages, another plate had no hash browns. Just so slow which was strange as dinner was amazing.

Very friendly staff and comfortable room. The breakfast was very good.

There were no water bottles in the bedroom and the coffee machine wasn’t great.

The hotel was exceptional. The room was a great size. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Lovely shower and toiletries. Big fluffy bath sheets. Liked the size of the cups and saucers provided for tea and coffee. Loved the decor of the room and hotel. Lovely bar and restaurant Loved the idea of the pantry on each floor, so you could replenish your tea and coffee etc without having to go down to reception.

Nothing, but could have done with some bottled water in the room

The heating left on in the room meant the room was very warm

Breakfast good, dinner good. Friendly service , good location and quiet.

Mirror in Bathroom installed for giants! No lift, very steep stairs so a lift would be essential , especially for the elderly

We were given a room at the back of the hotel and the noise from the pub made it impossible to sleep. Whe they saw me looking out of the window they started shouting up at me and became even louder. Also at 4.30am on Sunday morning started working on the station roof which consisted of lots of bangs.
