Orme view dog friendly apartment

Great location, not far from shops and sea front. Layout was good and the way the apartment is decorated is nice. Having WiFi, Netflix and YouTube was good, and kept the children entertained at night. Like all the books and little extras like that.

Smelt of smoke from the downstairs flat, which you could smell really bad in the main bathroom and when you first walked into the property. There was flies all over the kitchen area. Mainly fruit flys from the compost bin. There wasn’t any nice cups and we were glad we brought our travel mugs with us, the cups there were all crackled and old. Only one dish washer tablet was there! Dried coffee left in coffee jar. Main bathroom toilet seat needs changing, and there needs to be a shower curtain over the bath to use that shower! No storage for clothes in the main bedroom as cupboard won’t open. These things could all be done on the cheap and with a little TLC I’m sure the apartment would be more appealing.

An inescapable smell of cigarette smoke as soon as opened the property door. The flat smelt like an ashtray, particularly the main bedroom making it difficult to sleep, even with a window open. En-suite toilet was ridden with mould and the shower screen / door was not water tight. Flat was spacious but for me personally definitely not value for money.

The smell of stale tobacco from the flat bellow was ingrained in whole building. You could not get it out by airing. You could not get it out by air freshener. The smell was unpleasant and spoilt the time spent in the accommodation. Moving through the common areas was an ordeal. You had to scrub the cooking area and pans and utensils before actually using them. I will not be booking this accommodation for any friend or family visiting in the future if they are non smokers.

Good central location

The overwhelming smell of cigarettes from flat below which required all unworn clothes to washed on return home. Insufficient cutlery and crockery. Flat needs bedroom curtains to restrict early morning light. TV is only capable of receiving Netflix, there is no aerial.

Really good location. Two bathrooms a bonus. Nice and spacious. Owner helpful when we needed some support with something.

Could not get normal live tv. Bedroom cupboard really difficult to open, but strong smell of smoke in there anyway. Noisy neighbours (also on holiday) but only as they had dogs who were up and down the wooden stairs. Apartment needs a little TLC.

Location was very good, very handy for the town. Parking was easy, always a space. The apartment was a good size.

The apartment wasn't very clean. The coffee container had solid , moldy coffee in it. The ensuite in the bedroom wasn't clean.The mugs in the kitchen were cracked inside. Crisp packet under the bed in the first bedroom. Hadn't been hoovered. When we stripped the beds ,the quilts had old blood stains. The quilts should have been removed and washed. The apartment needs some TLC as it's a good apartment, just neglected.

Great central location. Apartment was fresh and clean looking. Spacious and good layout. Nice decoration on walls and nice to have some items provided ie milk sugar washing liquid and shower items. Nice big tv with Netflix and YouTube. Clean bedclothes and towels.

There were a few things that need some attention and would improve the apartment. The containers with tea and coffee need a good clean. Dry coffee stuck to bottom of one. Main door lock needs fixing for security. And latch on it not working. Mattress on one bed is uncomfortable with springs prodding up. Nice to see air freshener supplied but empty. Sponge by sink was used and left from previous visitors. Kettle a bit hit and miss to get boiling. Mugs could do with bleaching to clean. Water leaking onto floor from shower. Also a cupboard under sink full of junk. Directors chair broke while my mum sat on it. Fortunately she wasn’t hurt, although could have been a lot worse. On the last night a pram blocked the stairs and I had to ask it to be moved after a long conversation it was finally moved. Perhaps ask other residents not to block the entrance as it could cause a fire hazard if need to get out.
