Wood Palace Ella

Everything was perfect, we arrived it was raining the owner was expecting us with umbrellas and helped us down stairs , the room was big enough and comfy beds, the view from the room was amazingggg , the family owning the business is very welcoming and generous. Loved the place and everything. Considering it’s in the forest water pressure for shower was low that’s all.

Quite an adventure & a bit of a challenge to get to our very interesting room, down a lot of steep steeps, but worth it once there. Dinner & breakfast basic, but quite sufficient, all fresh & well presented, with a great view.

The lower rooms are great for the fit & healthy, but certainly not for anyone with leg or heart problems. The two roadside rooms would be fine, as no steps to get to them.

Bare in mind the location and the type of accommodation you will get the odd insect especially mosquitos. So take precautions

Great view, super kind staff, charming room.

Accessibility is hard with steep 3 floors cement stairs. Shower with either cold or scaling hot water. No AC. No blinds in the windows.

Lovely little find just by Ella! The hosts were so lovely, always on hand to arrange transport for us and the breakfast was delicious! Thank you so much for a great stay!

The stairs are not great for people with mobility issues but the hosts were great at helping to carry our things for us

Words cannot describe this experience. The family hosts are wonderful friendly people who have worked incredibly hard to get this family business going. The room is amazing and the scenary is mind blowingly stunning. Away from the hustle and noise of ella this is a must place to stay

Short Tuk Tuk ride from Ella. Very quiet but for the sound of the river below. Great views. If you like tree house like accommodation this is fantastic

The location is lovely but you do have to climb a lot of steps. The owners are very helpful carrying baggage etc. would not suit anyone with mobility issues

Amazing stay here! The rooms are lovely with a great view. Everything you need is there, nice bed and bathroom! The family who runs the hotel is so so kind and they really go out of their way to help you with everything! The breakfast in the morning was lovely with amazing view. Would definitely return
