Perfectly cosy & snug. Great little place perfect for staying a couple of days in Matlock whilst visiting the local area. Great pub and pizza opposite, so you don't even need to move far if you so wish.

The property was a decent size but still felt Cosy. I traveled with my pugs and they were greeted with some cute dog snacks. It was lovely to see milk and butter in the fridge as well as biscuits and crumpets. The attention to every detail in this unique place was incredible and so creative. Bed and furniture super comfortable. Lighting was quirky and perfect.

It was a quirky, cosy accommodation with some very interesting features. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a one-night stay whilst passing through the town. It was located fairly centrally although at the top of a very steep hill so be prepared for that if you're walking up to it!

It's an old building so was a bit draughty near the bed where there is an extra door. The road is also really noisy with traffic so although the beds were comfy, we all had a broken sleep. We found the use of a metal bucket as a kitchen sink a bit awkward to use to wash things up but we were only there for a night so it wasn't a huge issue

Would’ve liked to of been able to open a window for fresh air! Locks on the outside gate were tricky to use and kept catching my knuckles

Very quirky with a warm feel Of being in a Snug room of an actual pub, the decor and attention to detail was amazing. The host leaves nothing unturned and makes sure your stay is to your comfort. Showers and toilets were clean and warm and the snug was so cosy and warm too, my 2 daughters loved it and so did we.

The only fault was probably being on a main road with traffic but that quietens down by 9pm a few late night revellers enjoying themselves but that’s expected as it’s a vibrant nightlife on a Fri/sat. It certainly didn’t bother us or my kids.

This is a lovely, quirky property for people who are bored with chain hotels and sterile environments. It was well thought out, homely and a bit different, which we enjoyed.

Im not sure if the bed was handmade, but it wasnt quite for us - a little small (felt smaller than a double) and the owners had clearly tried to make sure guests were nice and warm, with cosy bedding. Unfortunately this just had us sweating all night!

The place was very spacious and the living area is very pretty. The bathroom, shower and other facilities were very nice. The hosts were lovely and provided clear simple instructions for all things such as collecting keys, Wi-Fi and leaving.

The toilet and showers being in a separate building from the living area (5metre walk away) was slightly inconvenient as had to walk outside in the cold to get there. Potentially could have had more cooking facilities - i.e. cooking oil. However, these are minor things.
