Ok hotel, nothing fancy, cool location

Great location. Room was in need of serious renovation and modernisation e.g. rotting window frame in bathroom, dirty tiles and walls, uncomfortable mattress.

This hotel is in the perfect location. In the process of being refurbished. My room hadn’t been but was clean, comfortable and great price especially for such a central location in Windsor. Staff lovely. No complaints at all.

I reguarly stay at this Hotel, they are always super helpful. This visit they allowed me to leave a Suitcase with them for four days without any charge.

Stayed at the Harte and Garte, wonderful old style hotel. Let down by a few easily fixable issues. A bit run down and tires looking, leak marks on ceiling with cracks in paint. Not a major issue but a lick of TLC and it can be a much better place. Key cards constantly failed. House keeping could be better, found what looked like blood on under sheet. Told staff who looked Mortifed and fixed the issue. Staff were very smiley and happy to help. I think the owners could inject some money and make it truly glorious. They could speak to the Ivy restaurant that is literally through a door in the foyer(I think was the old restaurant for hotel) and broker a deal. I think it would elevate hotel to next level

Great location with helpful staff. The neighbours can be a bit noisy at night. The morning view from the front window is overlooking. The castle is really nice. Easy access to pubs and shops and so on.

Hotel claims to have “ Air Conditioning “ well it did not ! They claim to have it & the lobby had it, but NOT the 2 rooms we had. According to a staff member, it had been broken for over 3 weeks, & probably was never fixed. I know it’s the UK and usually chilly but NOT this summer. Overall it was OK, and well situated across from the castle, just get that AC fixed !

A faded hotel that has clearly seen better days, and is in need of renovation. Acceptable if you are only in Windsor for a night or two, mainly due to its fantastic location, but for longer stays, look elsewhere
