Maristow Cottages, overlook Tamar Valley Dartmoor

Great find approx 3 miles north of Plymouth city boundary in the Dartmoor National Park.. beautiful location, great hosts.. property very clean and newly decorated.

Fantastic property in a great location. Vicky and Dominic are the perfect hosts. They met me on arrival and showed me everything I needed. Dominic opened and closed the main gate whenever I went out. They just left me to my own devices apart from that but were around to say goodbye when I left. Facilities were plentiful, the property was spotless which of course encourages people to keep/leave it like that, bed was maybe too comfy (I didn't want to get out of it), kitchen was amazing. All in all a wonderful experience and I will keep an eye out for this property next time I'm in the area.

Just perfect. In every way. Vicki & Dom were the perfect hosts (and their dogs). If you want to relax in a peaceful location this is it. Walking is close to Lopwell Dam which is at the bottom of the hill. A slow walk uphill via the coach road is a must. Get back to the cottage and chill on the terrace with a cuppa or later with a glass of wine. The gardens are accessible to us too, very beautiful with all the rhododendrons out and the birds singing. All very relaxing.

For a nervous driver there are some single track roads to approach the property but not too bad. WiFi is weak but I was fine with that. Apart from that ALL GOOD 😊

Foxgloves cottage is in a beautiful setting. We received a very warm welcome from Dominic and Vicky. There are some good walks from the doorstep including to the local pub.

The coach house accommodation was full of character and extremely comfortable. We were greeted by the friendly owners who have found the perfect balance to make guests feel welcome. This was the perfect place to relax and it has a secluded courtyard garden. The main house is set in beautiful grounds which guests are able to wander through and you can walk down the lane into the tranquil valley. If you like a peaceful setting this place has EVERYTHING!

Everything about this place is magical. If you want to get away from the rush of everyday life try it. The only downside was our football team lost to Plymouth - Never mind we hope to be back next season!

The hosts were very helpful and the property was of excellent quality. Would highly recommend.

While milk was provided, it would have been nice to have some teabags/coffee. There could have been a few more cooking utensils.

We loved the quiet and the country lanes. Hosts were respectful and approachable as were their fur babies.

Perfect location in beautiful gardens with welcoming and helpful hosts. The cottage was perfect in every way!
