Maristow Cottages, overlook Tamar Valley Dartmoor

Lovely cottage in a tranquil place only 800metres from the river. Well equipped cottage, great pub nearby.

Beautiful idyllic property and location. A short drive away from the shops but remote enough to be good for the mind and soul! The property was spotlessly clean, well maintained and welcoming, it was equipped with everything you would and could need. Vicky and Dominic were the perfect hosts, their passion to ensure the comfort of their guests was apparent from the moment we pulled up, a warm welcome, a tour of the property, Q&A's, the internet passcode and the BEST mattress I have ever slept on. They were close by if we needed anything, including a chat and were very happy to advise on places to eat and visit. I will definitely be going back to stay with them in the near future and highly recommend them to everyone.

The only negative thing about my stay is that it wasn't long enough, another night or 2 would have been perfect, better planning on my part next time!!

Loved the cottage, the location, the views, the peace and tranquility, the gardens, the bird life and the walk down to the Tay River. This was the perfect place to take some time out and enjoy the facilities of this well equipped and comfortable cottage. The hosts are the nicest people.

Certainly not a complaint - we recommend that you navigate to Crapstone first and then to the cottage if you are using satellite navigation. Our maps gave us the shortest, but not the best route.

The coach house amazing, so tidy and well organised. Great location and so cozy. East reach of all out favourite places. We will deffo ve booking again.

Nothing, everything was just right

This is a wonderful property. The hosts are really wonderful too and its so rare to get both. We would definitely return. Every detail catered for and felt so at home, simply perfect! Includes your own secluded space as well as access to the wider gardens. Oh, they had Retriever puppies too lol

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Foxgloves Cottage! Set in beautiful gardens with quality fittings throughout it was a joy to return to at the end of each busy day. The information provided by our host Dominic set us up for some really wonderful experiences and his enthusiasm for this part of the world and his genuine interest in us as travellers was much appreciated. We highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again in the future.

Everything was fantastic.

Location for Plymouth area was good yet once at the cottage you couldn't tell Plymouth was only 10-15mins away. Weather was against us but on another day a ideal place for quite picturesque walks.

Took ages to find the cottage, not ideal after a days traveling. Problem was the host's message for location wasn't viewable on the booking.com app, only on the website when l looked on my PC once back home. So find out in good time.

The cottage was very clean and within a fab location. Inside was beautifully decorated, and they have the most absolutely stunning gardens surrounding the entire cottage. A very tranquil and calming space. They have all the facilities you need for a self contained stay and Vicky and Dom were the friendliest hosts

The location was stunning - hidden away in the Devon countryside, down little narrow, windy roads. The only sounds we could hear were the buzzing of bees and the twittering of birds.

If only the bed had been a little bit bigger...
