AJY Birmingham City Centre Viva Apartment

Location.

Not the easiest to pick up keys and no answer when phones for help. Cold apartment with a look warm en suite shower in a room with 2 small bed. The yard light streamed through the windows all night and thr blinds were missing some slats and the curtains didn’t block out the light. Same in the double bedroom. Door of fridge broken which we were told about. Pictures did not quite represent what was expected. Staining on the carpets. Expected more overall.

location & cost as my hotel wasn't available at the dates. I would rather pay a little more to get a better check in experience.

Provided check in instructions just before arrival which instructed me to go a petrol station to collect the keys which was absurd. As a foreigner received too many WhatsApp photos for how to get keys, address was a photo which was really hard to figure out the address for a person which isn't familiar with the area. Had to ask a low of questions etc. Which made the arrival very tiring procedure. no body was present at the site which had a flows.. Check in was self made by taking the keys from a petrol station, instruction came at the last second, room was dirty and smelling food from the previous guest and I had to keep all my clothing in my luggage to make sure not getting them smelled food. I was instructed to open the windows to get fresh air to the room which was just ridiculous.

Excellent overall - property layout is great, and the little touches (coffee, lots of towels, cleaning products) meant that the host had really thought about what a guest needs when they are away from home.

Location was bad, checking in and out was not practical at all and the area was bad as well

The location was great. The bedrooms were clean and spacious.

The apartment smelled of cigarettes. All the blinds had stains on them. The appliances were not clean. The door to the fridge was broken, so it was a hassle to open (to be fair, we were informed of this the day of check-in). The microwave kept on tripping the electricity. The dining room chairs were very wobbly. Etc.

Location excellent for Lego discovery centre

Hairdryer didn't work

The flat was nice & clean. Spacious living room with cosy sofa bed. The heater & washing machine worked perfectly well. The host was helpful.
