Easy to find, secure car parking, really friendly porter staff, clean room, reasonable breakfast

Car parking not ideal. No TV.

Brilliant location for our late summer weekend break in Cambridge - easy walk up the road from Kettles Yard, the Museum of Cambridge and the riverside footpath, where we enjoyed a late afternoon stroll and a Sunday morning punt trip with Scholars Punts (excellent). Walk a bit further for historic streets and sites, museums and colleges and a good choice of restaurants.. PLUS - great to be able to get spacious SINGLE study bedrooms with excellent ensuite WC and shower room, generous wardrobe, shelf and desk space that staying in College Rooms provides. And the great BONUS: Murray Edwards College's great collection of modern art by women artists scattered around the corridors, dining room and cafe. And the interesting modern architecture and beautiful gardens guests are free to visit. Also great to be able to leave our bags at the Porters Lodge after checking out on final day, and to use the free phone there with direct line to call taxis to the station when we returned to pick them up. Would definitely book again.

Cooked breakfast in the college dining room was well cooked and generous - but choice of cereals was surprisingly poor when we visited. Just a half full packet of cornflakes, no muesli or granola.
