The Experience Resort-Lake Facing

The hotel is lovely and our rooms had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were also so helpful and accommodating. The downside is that unfortunately the property next door plays extremely loud music in the evenings till 10pm and it’s quite overbearing. But if you’re out for dinner no problem! It’s a shame for the hotel because other than that we had a very nice stay.

Lovely clean hotel very well appointed room and bathroom we had a view of the small lake Pichola . It was in walking distance of some lovely restaurants, a throughly lovely stay.

The access to the property is somewhat difficult by car as the road is often closed Cars can park in the hotel court yard to load and unload luggage

This is a very convenient hotel close to the old part of Udaipur. It is on the lake side and our room had a view across the lake from very large windows. The room was big, the bathroom could have had more space for toiletries but was fine. The staff were lovely. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was outstanding with dishes having depth of flavour. An excellent chef! Breakfast had everything you needed and cooked dishes, both western and Indian, were all cooked fresh. A lovely place to stay.

But. As others have mentioned there is a very loud enterprise recently opened literally next door. They have live "music" everynight between 0700 and 1015ish. This makes a quiet evening impossible at the moment but action has been initiated to curtail this illegal behaviour and resolution is hoped for sooner rather than later.

We had a wonderful time at the Experience Resort which so beautifully covered in a Banyan tree!! The location is quite central and you can reach everywhere easily by either taking your car or a rickshaw. The staff is amazing, with the reception staff to the room to the Chef. The food is really good, we had it couple of nights when the kids were to tired to go out. The chef took extra care in making stuff for kids and having it kid friendly, we were offered complimentary chips one evening for snacks, which totally made our Kids day. Since we visited in Winters, we got the chance to try out the soups too, which were exquisite. The breakfast is good too, but a little on the pricier side. Room size is quite good too. They have Puja Aarti during the evenings which was really sweet and nice. Just outside the hotel, there are a few eateries, we loved having the samosas and Kachori near to the hotel.

Just one major drawback to this hotel is the next door restaurant which has really LOUD Live music playing all evening till late night, it did take away from our otherwise lovely stay. We couldn't really sit outside and enjoy and unwind during the evenings. So Just keep this in mind.

We loved everything about this property. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for you. The location is good and close to everything in Udaipur too.

Don't go there, you won't be able to sleep or be happy. We booked a room from February 9th to 12th for INR 53,620, around USD 600, or 200 per night. Right next to the hotel is a music club where there's a loud outdoor party every night until after 10 pm. Since it's also a hostel, the party lasts until the next morning, right next to your bedroom. At around 5 am, the muezzin calls to prayer, followed by chants to the Indian gods until around 8 am. The noise is unbearable and echoes loudly across the lake. All the hotel guests complained bitterly to General Manager Dinesh Sharma. He promised to remedy the situation, but it's well known in Udaipur that this place is a haunted place. We changed hotels on the second day and agreed with Dinesh Sharma that he would refund us $300. Even four weeks later, and despite repeated promises from Dinesh Sharma, we still haven't received any money back. The hotel is rightly called "Experience," but unfortunately, the experience is very poor.
