Single room with beautiful garden

Really felt at home and had a wonderful stay. Karen and John are lovely people, and really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and looked after. If I solo travel to Edinburgh again, I will hopefully be able to stay here once more.

I really loved staying here, so I don't have any complaints. Some might find it a bit far from the central city, but if you don't mind the bus and enjoys pretty city views then you'll be happy.

Wonderful and very hospitable owners. The room and bathroom were very clean. The hostess prepares delicious breakfasts. There is a bus stop nearby with buses to the city center. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh.

Karen and John are the most wonderful hosts ever ,they welcome you like a part or their family,the house is immaculate,very clean and perfect ,I just had a beautiful breakfast

Karen and John are super! I spent a week at Karens and Johns home in Oxgangs. The room is as described, small but cozy and totally sufficient for a good sleep or relaxed evening tea at the window. Bathroom is super modern and clean. As all was very clean... The breakfast was just fine. Karen really tries to offer everything one could think or ask for. First loved the quiet and green neighborhood, just a 25min busdrive or so from the old town or even a relaxed walk through parks, hills and a valley (@ Karen: "like valentine" ... 😉) But the best of all really were Karen and John and Toby themselves. They welcomed me and let me feel home immediately. We had nice chats and a lot of great laughs! Thank you so much for all of this! Love to come back!

Karen is an amazing host! Haven’t seen anyone so thoughtful and caring for her guests! I felt more like visiting family than staying somewhere from booking. Breakfasts also help to save some money on the trip. Karen was even kind enough to buy some plant milk and yogurt as have intolerance to dairy. I really appreciate the opportunity to get to know each other better. The room is also very cosy and feels like home. Shower is very modern and convenient.

The only thing is that the mattress was quite soft and might be not the best option for bigger sized people.
