Staff were brilliant and so helpfull

The odd bus vibrated the window if im being picky

We ate dinner downstairs in the pub and it was lovely home made food. Enjoyed having dominoes to play with while waiting for meal. The location is fab. Staff friendly. Bed linen and pillows great, mattress soft. Little extras of snacks and tea and coffee in the room were appreciated. Also appreciated it being dog friendly. Thanks for lending us a food bowl

The stair way to the rooms is a bit lacking, doesn’t give a good feeling leading to the room. No shower or shower head on bath, might not have been an issue if the bath was inviting but it has a big old damage stain on it. Parking is only town square and available for 2 hours no return for 1 hour. Some kind of parking pass would be a suggestion. Late night entrance not secure. Was supposed to be access by key but was unlocked which means any one could have entered and then gone up to the rooms because that door isn’t locked off either. The negatives didn’t ruin our stay but are worth mentioning. The place is trying really hard but just not quite hitting the mark for £90 a night.

I felt sorry for the staff, particularly the young man who did his best to help us .

The room smelt of damp, there was a strange smell coming from around the toilet and our room wasn't cleaned the next morning (we stayed for two nights). No shower in the room, though this was made clear beforehand.
