Everything ! Property and Gardens were beautiful ! Clean and had everything we needed. On bus network and taxis will allow carriage of dogs (Ambleside Taxi Company) & will collect and drop off at the cottage if you want to leave car at home . Had Sky TV and good Sky wi fi too with streaming services available !

Location is absolute beautiful however only thing (clearly not the fault of the owner/property) if you want to walk into Ambleside or Waterhead there are no footpaths on the initial stretches from the cottage. It’s a busy main road so the walk was quite precarious for a bit until the footpaths started. We walked it one time but decided it was best/safer to take car or get a taxi (which are not particularly expensive) or just be very vigilant on these stretches.

"A short break for overview of the Lakes"

Beautiful views from the back garden, comfortable bed, nice jacuzzi bath. Quiet at night despite busy road

Location of cottage is on a busy road, not safe to walk along back into Ambleside & hairy to pull out of the drive. Garden seating area could do with some TLC. Needs some additional extras to make it 5 star - some basic condiments in kitchen, soap in bathroom, instructions for TV, dishwasher, heating etc, and maybe a new sofa as the current one is pretty uncomfortable.

Nice location and beautiful views. Hostess was really friendly and helped guide us to the property. Nice size for a couple.

There was no hand wash or paper towels. The living room sofa could do with a good deep clean or replacing if possible. The rear garden where the bench is slightly overgrown and could do with some tlc. The jacuzzi bath jets could do with a deep clean.
