Gorgeous Central Hastings Old Town

Nothing it's not at all like it looks in the photos it's very run down stains and marks all over the walls that ain't painted properly the bed collapsed when we sat on it the door lock was held in with filler the kitchen was full of empty beer cans and boxes the shower barely worked and the was no toilet paper

Very bad the person phone is switched off we called many time contacted booking com the room lock was broken i have picture and video recorded that why they avoid us. Do NOT USE THIS PROPERTY WE DID NOT STAY and we will never avoid.

The room lock var broken door didn’t not closed or locked no safe its agains health and Safety i will comply to the council also.

There was no person on call and in an emergency there was no help or reply to my problem. Having a key taken from my key box and being locked out of my room was an emergency and there was no response to any of my phone calls or messages. A very traumatic situation that I wouldn’t want any vulnerable person to have to experience!

The hotel room and the bathroom were excellent, very clean and I really liked the character of the room and its location was perfect, right by the beach and the old town.

a. The venue was virtually impossible to find late at night. The hotel entrance is in the middle of a large convenience store and located above it. There is absolutely no name of the hotel anywhere outside the building! The numbers on the High Street are incredibly complex and quirky, and it took us 30 mins to work out where it was and to get in. The information needs to be clearer - it's a frustrating experience to get to this hotel 11pm at night! b. There was NO KEY in the outside key safe. I don't know how we got in, I think we pushed the door hard enough and it opened. That is obviously not safe as anybody could push it and get in. You need a different system as it seems that whoever had used the front door key save to get into the building in the first place, did not return the key - but the instructions are really not easy to understand in the first place. c. The telephone number we tried to call when trying to find this hotel returned as unobtainable. So we had no means of communicating with the owners.

Location was good and the bed was very comfy

The main door doesn’t lock, you can just push it open from the street, so don’t even need to get the key out the lock box. The hole in the wall at the bottom of the stairs isnt the best thing to see when you first walk in. The bathroom door (next to room 3) you can see through the edge. The curtains in room 3 were all ripped and the tv had no channels and couldn’t load any even after trying to install them and the heating was on full blast so was very hot in the room.

Close to the sea

Hotel has a different name to advertised making it hard to find, contact number doesn't work, ring doorbell doesn't work, had to phone customer services to get access to the room as I wasn't given a code for the key box or a room number, then was given a code and room number only to find the door had no key barrel so had to find the other door leading to the room in a different part of the building. Overall a stressful experience.

When we arrived the key box was open & no keys in it, we went up to find our room only to find that someone was already in the room, so we left, somewhat unhappy!! My partner tried to contact the host who just replied contact booking.com. Still haven’t had a refund
