Great price - great location in the centre of town

The radiators bang and click all night keeping one of us awake. The TV had no sound and no remote control for correcting it. I messaged staff with questions that were left answered unless we rang them which was frustrating. It says parking in the description but I don’t think it’s clear enough as unfortunately parking is on the street outside and not free during day time hours so we had to move our car every day and park different spots during the day.

The location was very convenient (right in the centre) and the flat itself had everything you could need. The towels and linens were nice and clean. For the price, it was a pleasant stay.

The lock box code was false and I wasn’t updated, so had to call the property to get inside. Half of the flat was broken or damaged (radiator hanging off wall, toilet roll holder hanging off wall, cracks in shower head, cracks in bedside socket, etc.) but most of this didn’t impede too much on my stay. The TV was also impossible to use (the settings seemed to be messed up and we couldn’t fix it, despite being young, techy people and putting in a good hour-long effort).

My questions were not answered by email or message. I had to call the owner the day previous The sofa bed was not made up as requested. The property was very dirty and did not look like it had been cleaned before our stay On street parking was difficult to get

had a working oven, washing machine and had great accessibility to town and different restaurants and shops.

the heater in the bedroom was hanging off of the wall therefore we couldn’t use it, the window seal in the bedroom was broken therefore it was really cold, the plug socket behind the bed was broken therefore unusable, we couldn’t use the keys for the windows as they didn’t fit, there were no drying facilities for clothes, most dishes were not cleaned when we arrived, there was no tv remote therefore we could not control the volume, shower hose was broken, there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom most days and we couldn’t open the window to air the smell out, kitchen door was not attached to the door closer, it was quite loud outside early in the morning as it was in the centre of town, the place was extremely cold most of the time.

No remote control for the TV, contacted host for help, they assured me they would be with me in an hour. They never showed up or contacted me. Shower mat looked like it had never been washed. Blind in the bedroom was broken so street lamps shone into bedroom, difficult to sleep. Broken plug socked, phoned an electrician, advised not to use socket under any circumstances, advised property should not be rented with electrics in this condition, very dangerous. Electric heater fell off the wall, called electrician back advised to place on an insulated surface, switch off and under no circumstances switch it back on it was a serious fire hazard.
