Sapa Heaven House

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with a large window with decent curtains. The hotel is willing to take bags before and after stay, ideal for overnight transport up to SaPa and 2 day trekking tours.

The pictures used on the website of the view from the room are misleading, it was explained to us by the staff that the images used are from the "Double room" rooms (these rooms are located higher up the hotel) not the king room. My partner was looking forward to taking a bath with the view of the mountains, instead she was in full view of everyone getting a drink at the bar, not the experience she wanted. I enquired with the staff about moving up a few floors to get the advertised view ( being that it was the low season I thought this might be possible.) I was informed this could be done however would mean I would have to book out a 2nd room at full cost. However, she decided to continue and attempt to have a bath. We were informed that the bath hot water was automatic, it was not, there was no hot water to the bath and no ability to turn on the hot water facilities. At this point she abandoned the idea, meaning the primary reason we booked the room ( the view and the bath) was not utilized, a cheaper accommodation option would have been a better choice. Later that evening we attempted to have a shower, staff had informed us that the hot water was not automatic and would need to have a switch in the correct position. Hot water was available for 30 seconds and then it ran out. We played with the switch between the two options (on/off) over the duration of our stay with no success. Breakfast is nice however no cold drink options are offered. To summarize the room pictures lie, which we found dishonest and disappointing. No hot water in the room was also disappointing. Jenny and her team are really friendly however not able to resolve the issues.

Zwembad was de eerste dag buiten gebruik omdat deze nog niet schoon was. In eerste instantie konden we niet de kamer krijgen die we geboekt hadden en zouden we twee eenpersoonsbedden krijgen ipv een tweepersoonsbed. De geboekte kamer (standaard) bleek achteraf ook een kamer te zijn zonder ramen. Gelukkig is het uiteindelijk opgelost. Als je naar het centrum wil moet je even een steile bult oplopen, maar dat is ook niet gek voor in Sapa.

Peaceful atmosphere and very nice staff!

- We booked the Mountain view room which was incredible to wake up to Fansipan every morning! - Reception lady was so kind & helpful. She helped us book a great local tour & laundry - Lovely breakfast & coffee each morning - Fabulous location just outside of the main town & we felt more part of the mountains & nature! But still an only 5 min walk to restaurants & shops!

La chambre qui nous a été attribuée n’était pas du tout celle figurant dans le descriptif. Chambre sans fenêtre, très humide, avec forte odeur d’humidité. Nous avons changé d’hôtel après la première nuit.

Breakfast was little, personnel was not always very friendly, and after a shower the bathroom was completely wet. The beds were very comfy though!
