Steyn Guest Lodge

The bed was comfortable but it was supposed to be a king size but it was a queen. I don't think they know what a real king size bed is in the UK! The whole place was pretty dirty and the outside was a disgrace - long grass, unkempt, trash around the side of the house. This is just a regular house with rented rooms. The owner happened to be there when we arrived, otherwise I don't know how we would have checked in. He didn't seem to be aware of our booking. He is a nice enough fellow but needs some education in how to keep a place nice. We had to wash the cups before we used them and one of them had an invisible crack that allowed my coffee to leak all over the counter! Sharing the bathroom with other guests was a hassle. Nor really worth the price we paid for a night.

They have a kitchen and bathtub everything in a house

To be honest nothing i loved everything

Given wrong pin number to enter the property but was let in by another guest. Couldn't access my room but keys had been left in another room so I stayed there but bed hadn't been changed or bin emptied etc, Stripped bed and slept on mattress. No staff around, called number for hotel but no reply. No coat hangers in closet.

That it was a good size room and it was okay and comfortable bed

How it was run and that u don't get the information you need and you can't get hold of the landlord in charge

Didn't get to access the property

Very poor communication. Couldn't access the property. Sent messages via Booking.com, and very late reply. Eventually had to book an alternative. The telephone number on booking.com didn't work

There was no hot tub as advertised, it was really dirty. Toilets weren't cleaned, Baths weren't cleaned. Outdoors wasn't cleaned. They haven't given me a refund
