Hotel La Casona

This was a good option to stay for a night in Iquitos after coming back from a week in the Amazon. Has a good location near Plaza de Armas and the malecon, staff were helpful in providing advice and booking taxis. Note that's there are supplementary costs for air conditioning (recommended - it's hot and humid) and breakfast.

Nicely appointed hotel for the rate, a bit noisy but not unreasonably so based on the proximity to a large night club and the center of town.

Hotel close to tourist area. Staff was friendly. Room was a bit musty (no window )but for price was okay. WiFi only in common areas. Had early flight so I didn't have their breakfast. Hotel was quiet.

I really enjoyed my 2 stays at La Casona, pre and post jungle retreat. The staff were friendly courteous and helpful. The place itself was colourful and vibrant with lots of great art and interesting decor focusing on local arts and crafts. My room was comfortable and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was sparkly clean. I was really glad I spent the little bit extra to ask for a room with air-conditioning, it made all the difference to my ability to get a decent night's sleep.

Very simple and had all of the basics, accommodating staff, great central location, only fans in the room which isn't ideal in the heat

Nice enough hotel for a short stay. The hot water, air con and wifi worked well. The bed, and pillows especially, were very uncomfortable. Service was friendly and efficient.

Found a half used shampoo container in the shower on checkin. Had to ask several times for a bath towel.

Loved the eclectic look of the hotel. The central courtyard was a lovely place to relax. Made all the better by the little green parrot. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I do not speak very much Spanish at all. The hotel is just next to the square and a couple of blocks from the river. We enjoyed walking everywhere.

Pleasant environment. Great pricing. Great location. Within walking distance of good restaurants, the river front boardwalk and crafts vendors.
