Phong Nha Horizon Homestay

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, fresh and well-equipped. Breakfast was great and the diner with local food is amazing Levi had good suggestions for the jungle tours and tranfer to Hue . Will definitely stay here again.

Brand new homestay right on the river as many have mentioned in the reviews. I had a room on the 2nd floor with the river view and it was a great value for the scenery. The room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable (my main concern), and it had everything I needed as a solo traveler for one night. Levi was also helpful arranging check-in and a shuttle to the airport the next morning.

Only thing preventing a 10 star review I'd say is the bathroom design, which could be resolved with some minor updates. The shelving holding the shampoo and body wash, as well as the towel rack, are on the opposite end of the bathroom from where the shower is, so it isn't really practical. If they move the shower rack and have at least one towel hanger right next to the shower, it would make more sense.

The view is stunning. The room looks exactly like the pictures here. The best part is the owner of the Homestay, Levi. He answers any questions you have and organizes your stay very well. He speaks English and it is so helpful in Vietnam. Levi found a driver to take us to the Paradise Cave when we asked about it ourselves. And on the day of our departure he was so kind to take us to the bus stop by his bike. The bus company changed the time of departure from 9 am to 7:45 am and informed us about it at 7:30, which is outrageous! Levi called them and took us to the bus stopping place by his bike. If not for his help, we could have missed the bus. Thanks immensely, Levi, for all your help!

We liked the homestay very much. The host was so nice to us and helped us so much during the stay. Booking trips, helping with problems with the room. He helped us perfectly with everything and more than we could expect. Also the room was very new and clean, the view was nice over the river. Therefore we would definitely recommend this place.

Keep in mind that the toilet does not flush with toilet paper in it. There is a bin besides of it. First we did not know this, but when it is stuck the host will fix it for you if needed. Also keep the door closed to prevent insects to go in (there are not many, but just an advice since we had some insect in after a few days because we did not close immediately sometimes).

Absolutely loved this place!! Levi, the owner, built this place with intention and love and I was impressed. The room was perfect with big windows for the views, super clean, comfortable and I felt right at home! I was able to get dinner to enjoy the view from his balcony, cooked by his aunt, had laundry services (much needed after jungle trekking) and he even invited me to join him and his friends for a drink. Just an exceptional place! I wish I could have had at least one more day/night here to enjoy the place for longer.

A sign for the homestay would be helpful as this is on a street with construction going on and so you wonder for a second if you're in the right area. AND a hammock on the patio wouldn't hurt.
