Beyond Nomad Luxury Hostel

Very close to shops and restaurants, with a beautiful view of Ella! I met some lovely people at this hostel and would definitely stay again

WiFi wasn’t very good, my curtain was a bit faulty on my bed which was annoying!

Stay is a bit inside like walking 3-5 mins from the main road but that gives you good views of the mountains when you wake up. Got to know about this property from a Foreigner I met near Mirissa so I just trusted his judgement and I am not disappointed. Barry, the manager is a wonderful man, full of life.. socialising with all his guests and making them absolutely comfortable. We sang songs.. he had planned a nice family dinner 1 night. There are Towels and water bottles available. Dorm beds are bigger than the usual size. Bathrooms are big and clean. Dining are is right up on the terrace which offers amazing views of the mountains. Very peaceful.! Breakfast was great. There were options - Indian which had Dosas, Continental and Sri Lankan. Fruits and coffee were also kept. It was a pretty good spread for the value of money.

The rooms are extremely humid, no wet clothes ever dry, sleeping in these conditions is very hard. The rooms need airconditioning

In terms of the room - privacy curtain, clean and comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space on hooks and under bed. In terms of the hostel as a whole - great location, I liked the community feel and the communal areas are great - one on the rooftop for breakfast and a shared dinner and one with bar and pool table. The trips offered were well organised and explained - I loved the temple visit and meditation session! Berry went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had and was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this hostel.

The drain in the shared bathroom was a bit smelly but it was generally clean and the floors were cleaned everyday.

Really good hostel, everything you expect from a hostel. Price- quality was really good.

The hostel was located in nature & had a beautiful view at the common space where they serve breakfast. The breakfast offered was convenient since there is no nearby restaurant to get breakfast in the morning.

The photos provided do not match the actually dorm bed/rooms & it does not match the value or cost. I felt it was to expense for what you receive. The building is older & need improvement, although some rooms have renovated bathroom. Also, I found it was not a social hostel & found it difficult to meet people to explore Ella. Since the hostel is located away from the center it was difficult walking back at night because it at a 15 mins walk in dark to the hostel.
