The spacious setup

There was a gas braai stand but not notified of getting a gas bottle ...we couldn't find any outlets to hire one...please mention this to guests...

Only the location & view

The worst experience ever. Firstly the aircon does not work, according to the host it has been broken for 2 weeks but when you read the reviews it’s been broken since January. The place was filthy, floors dirty hand prints in the shower, cobwebs all over the show. Soap scum and previous guests things in the bathrooms. The place smelled like mold and linen was dirty. The shower leaks and the whole floor is wet. The second shower does not work - water comes out like a sprinkle. There was no mention of a deposit for “ damages “ R3000 which had to be paid when we arrived. The place is falsely advertised “11 sleeper” but only space 6. When we were checking out 2 other people came to check the place and counted spoons, knives , forks. Besides the view everything else in this unit is the ghetto! And there is roaches 😩

I liked the face recognition access system and its responsiveness irrespective of how far you were from the device reader.

We waited longer than expected to be given the keys despite having alerted the owner of our proximity to the place as we approached Durban after a pit stop at P/Maritzburg. The wait of 15 minutes for the caretaker to arrive with keys coupled with another 15 minutes of trying to get our access codes sorted through their face recognition platform was not lekker - more especially considering how far we had come (Pretoria) came and how cold and windy it was at in Durbs at the point of our arrival plus there we senior citizens in the car. It was painstakingly slow. The owner took too long to switch the users of the access codes and in one instance he never sent the QR code to the designated person. The fact that only one key is given for a six sleeper sized apartment is a turnoff. At least two keys must be afforded.

the property is situated in a convenient location, close to all local amenities

Our Hosts would just barge in to the room without knocking or asking for our consent. No TV in the dining area, bed linens had stains , the floor wasn’t properly clean , bathrooms had water leakage and some of the windows in the property could not open. The pool isn’t private, it’s a communal pool situated on first floor. Our hosts came unannounced in the morning and wanted us to check out before our agreed checkout time. (Picture attached)
