The view from the hotel was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic and we had a brilliant stay well worth the money

"Comfortable grand old house"

The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot. The included breakfast was yum and dinner was delish. A cafe from 10am till 8pm offers good coffee and a nice choice of cakes. It is out of the town which we liked.

There was a bath with the shower over the top. This is a nice idea but a big step down for anyone with a bit of mobility limitations. We were in room 3 so the other rooms may be different.

The staff are very helpful and polite. The setting is lovely and peaceful.

The drive to the hotel needs resurfacing as it is full of potholes. The fact you cannot bring your own alcohol to drink could put people off. Not very good disability access.

Room was good.

No-one on reception at 3pm check-in..... Had electric cut off problem & no other emergency follow up to help us get to our room etc..not even a torch.... Duty manager was off site & didn't come to the hotel in this emergency to help out... Morning after...had to go & find her to make our complaint which then she said I would have to follow this up through booking.com as I paid through this agent..... Not happy & felt we where just left to sort it out ourselves & we had no choice but, to just put up with the whole situation

Beautiful room and settling, lovely staff, good breakfast

Very soft mattress, access road pot holed. Unable to have wine with dinner, unable to buy wine or pay corkage - unexpected.

Good location for anyone interested in the C2C.

Not being able to buy a beer at the end of a long journey. The hotel does not serve alcohol.
