"Perfect place to stay if you are going for the hike as it sits along the Cumbria way with lots of other interesting walk"

The property was peaceful and scenic. It had everything you needed for a self catering short stay and was comfortable. There was a nice cafe using the honesty box cash system too.

"Great place to stay"

Great atmosphere, location on the Cumbia Way. Nice country location a little way from the villages. Worth the effort to go back and forth and the drive in Spring is delightful. Lovely walks Lounge was comfortable enough, tv streaming was great, the hand soap and bath wash were divine. Heating was effective. Kitchen facilities were great.

Would be nice to know before booking that there is an expectation to take rubbish with you on departure. Also had to strip bed, not a problem but should be advised before booking.

The area it was situated. Good walks from the door.

Very unclean, no views from the windows, tiny TV, lack of privacy through kitchen window. Dusty and mounds smell. Furniture old, worn and uncomfortable. Dogs are told to stay in the tiny kitchen area even though a charge is made.

"Exceptional"

A comfortable and very clean place to relax after spending the day hiking in a lovely area. The 2 bedrooms were each at a different end so that was very convenient for independence and the heating system worked perfectly. A self-service original barn with cakes and coffee is just round the corner.

The only downside I can mention is that the Wifi didn't have a strong signal so, at times, it didn't work very well. But that was not an issue.

The location is good, with access to the Cumbrian Way path which ran through the property. The tuck shop cafe was very nice. Parking was good. The DVD collection was good.

Was disappointed to learn that the dog was required to stay in the small kitchen after having paid an additional £60 for the 3 nights. This should have been raised at the time of the initial booking.
