Rock Mill - Deluxe Studio Apartment with Balcony

Excellent location nice apartment, cosy. Suited what we wanted to visit Chatsworth, Haddon hall and Thornbridge estate.

Couldn't get the hob to work and no microwave so unable to make hot food. The wall cupboards very high so difficult to reach if you are not very tall.

Lovely spacious room. Big comfy bed. Very clean. We loved the location close to lots of places to explore and some lovely restaurants.

The location was excellent, a short walk to local pub, Indian restaurant and a fish a chips bar, whilst being on good road for easily driving to any of the hiking routes or towns, especially Bakewell (recommended to visit). Also the accommodation is sandwiched between some stunning steep rock faces. Our balcony faced onto these directly which created a nice feeling of scenery awe and privacy. The room interior was perfect, high quality finish, very smart and comfortable. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch.

The Cupola restaurant next door, which we assumed was part of the same complex was disappointingly difficult for us to make use of. We arrived at the accommodation late Friday evening so didn't get chance to use it, but walked in at 9pm on Saturday night expecting to have some dinner, was told the bar was open but the kitchen closed at 8pm. On Sunday afternoon I called them around 4 pm to make a dinner reservation for that evening but was told they close at 5pm on Sundays. We did however manage to have breakfast there on Monday morning after checking out, and the food was good, which made the disappointments of the previous 2 evening attempts more frustrating. Also, I emailed concierge to ask if there were any laundry facilities available, as there is no washing machine in the apartments. I was told there were no laundry facilities onsite, but that there was a launderette available in a nearby town.....I found this bizarre in such a large and comfortably furnished apartment complex, as many people will be hiking during the days hence would benefit from ability to wash some clothes between days.

Easy check in, lots of parking, the fully furnished studio was very modern and clean, balcony was a nice touch. Boot, bike cleaning facilities make so much sense. Toilet’s heated flooring was 10/10. It’s also pet friendly with shower facilities for your dog.

Location - easy access to key areas within the Peak District and to shops/restaurants. Modern and clean room. Plenty of free parking. Great value for money.

We stayed during hot weather and even with a fan supplied the room was still very hot and stuffy. Would have been better with air conditioning.

Lovely, clean apartment, easy to access with code, very comfy, instructions left for all appliances. Very comfy bed, nice little balcony, perfect for our weekend stay for a wedding

Shame about no coffee machine and microwave but that was the only downside.
