Rock Mill - Deluxe Studio Apartment with Balcony

Absolutely fantastic and centrally located for all we wanted to do . Very comfortable and would definitely agree to it being luxury . We will definitely be returning

I absolutely loved the stay here..It is close to all major tourist spots around here and would like to come here next time too.

Stayed at the Rock Mill with my husband and our fur baby for 2 nights. The apartment looked lovely and is well decorated, very modern, the bed was a bit soft for me but that's just personal preference. The apartment complex has a lot of useful features, such as a boot wash (which was very helpful after our muddy walk!) it also has a bike wash, boot lockers and ever a room where you can wash your dog! Checking in and out was very easy. The room also had some useful pamphlets about the local area which was a good touch. Next door within walking distance was a cafe and restaurant.

The only reason I'm giving a 4 star is because of the cleanliness, unfortunately it was very dusty. Had a random plant in the kitchette which was dirty and dusty which was a shame as that's the only thing I felt let it down. It also had a Nespresso machine but you have to take your own pods. I would stay again though as the location is great and the amenities are good. Just hope that they listen to what alot of the reviews say and improve on something as simple as cleaning.

I loved the location and facilities. It's all well designed and planned. I loved bath for dogs - fantastic idea 👌 water brush for muddy boots outside - amazing idea😍 Restaurant and bar next door - cozy, delicious food and dog friendly 🥰 Netflix and Disney and more free and available 😀 I felt like at home 🏡

We have stayed twice now at this property. It’s maintained well and exceptionally clean with great facilities

Nothing not to like

The apartment is in a brilliant location, it's great value and has everything you need. We were able to walk to a pub if we wanted and also had an Indian takeaway delivered to the apartment. Reception staff were lovely, bed was comfy and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was great. Would definitely visit again.

There was a bag of dog waste on the balcony when we arrived, a broken glass dish in the oven and some dirty kitchen items. I did complain about these and I was refunded the house keeping charge, the property were quick to respond and very helpful. I feel this was more a reflection on the housekeeping staff, but still not nice to turn up to. All very easily solvable issues and it didn't impact the stay, I would still happily recommend this property but would encourage more thorough checks for cleaning.

Great location. Great facilities. Countless outdoor activities in the area so if you like the big outdoors it's a great place to stay. Great kitchenette in room to cook up pretty much anything for 2 people. From sandwiches for the day out to full on meals in the evening. Be mindful local spar shop is pricey but offers some lovely fresh produce, aldi it isn't. Loads of bins for any rubbish you generate. Communal reception/lounge area with free hot drinks which is a lovely touch. Boot room is a great idea, just a shame some people can't understand what it's for and still walk the corridors in their mucky shoes/boots, but you can probably imagine the entitled type who I'm referring to. Proper dog wash with dryer if you bring the hounds with you. Bike wash and store, note though, that the bike store is accessed by any guest with an access fob. In general, very well kept and maintained site and apartment's. We'll be back.

One "actual" minor niggle was low pressure in the shower, as in a struggle for the wife to rinse her long hair, not what I'd expect in a new development, but genuinely the only negative. One "possible" (but not one we endured) downside is i can imagine it being noisy if you have folk next door to you who consider themselves the only ones on holiday....
