Self-Contained Annex

Had it's own private entrance and a very comfortable bed. Good bathroom space and central heating. Very close to the sea and Eastbourne town. Communication was very good and hosts very accommodating. We were provided with a cooking stove after asking and they allowed us to check-out slightly later on our last day. Cleaner promptly brought kitchen and cleaning supplies that were missing on arrival. Clean towels and bedding provided alongside some bathroom supplies.

Although the self contained studio has, in theory, all the amenities needed for a short stay, the kitchen set-up was a bit awkward. The is a decent enough space and utensils for cooking, however there is no kitchen sink. This means that all washing up and water use is done from the bathroom sink. Not a massive problem, but felt very student-y and not always the most hygienic! Found it quite unusual that no tea, coffee, or kitchen basics were provided (oil, salt and pepper were brought to us on request). The space is very comfortable itself but the neighbourhood can get quite noisy - there is a 'crash and bang' family next door and the army stationed opposite performing drills into the evening.
