The Shipwright Inn

Very friendly staff and when I arrived late, they were able to accommodate a roast dinner and even went out of their way to make a fresh cauliflower cheese which was delicious. The room was exactly like the photos and very clean and comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night apart from hearing the light/fan from the room next to us. No traffic, nice quiet area on the corner.

The lady(not sure if it was the owner) was very friendly, accommodating with breakfast, asked us what we’d like as it was a continental breakfast and explained why they don’t do cooked breakfast which was understandable as it didn’t state this information when we booked. But both me and my partner didn’t mind about this. The bed also very comfortable, would stay again just to sleep in the bed.

We liked the convenience of having a kitchen attached to the room so we could make our own breakfast with the food so kindly provided by the host.The property was conveniently situated for visiting The Heritage Centre.Also there are several pubs/restaurants in close proximity to the property.

There was room for improvement in the shower but this property has only recently become available therefore may change in the future and this wouldn't put me off staying here again.

It was very cozy comfortable and clean.lovely peaceful place to just relax .food in restaurant was excellent.the complementary breakfast was a lovely gesture too.all the staff were very friendly.this is the place to go just to chill out .highly recommend.

Very interesting location but the highlight of our stay was food served in the Shipwright Inn Lovely cook served fresh and delicious meals every day

Large comfortable bed, thick fluffy white towels, parking right outside and an unexpected shared kitchen with complimentary breakfast cereal, pastries, bread, fruit etc. Would make this my first choice for accommodation next time I'm in the area.

The kitchenette was a real bonus and fruit and fruit juice was particularly appreciated. The shower worked well and was welcome while it was so hot. There were lots of lovely towels and the bed and linen was luxurious. The TV was easy to operate! We were held up by traffic so arrived too late to meet our hosts which was a pity - it would have been more fun to meet Mike and the family earlier in our stay but he was always available on the phone

We aren't keen on sweet things so Special K and fewer croissants would have been better.. I couldn't find the main light switch in the kitchen on the first day but really very little to complain about .
