The Corduroy Hotel

The Corduroy is something else. Tucked away in the heart of Canggu/Perenanan, right by a quiet river, it’s smack in the middle of all the action, yet somehow still feels like an escape. The vibe here is magnetic—it’s raw, alive, and unapologetically creative. The decor? Unreal. It’s got this effortless style that makes places like Soho House feel like they’re trying too hard. You can tell this place is run by a woman—there’s power in every detail. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a reflection of her energy, her aesthetic, her vision. Staying here wakes something up in you. You’re surrounded by the buzz and chaos, but it fuels you instead of draining you. This isn’t a spot to hide away—it’s a place to tap into your creative side and feel something.

This place is very special. Alice in Wonderland tea party vibe. Some of the rooms are like wooden glamping cabins with a loft. There are more glamorous rooms in the main house. The pool is lovely, accompanied by Elvis the hotel parrot. The living space is something out of Architectural Digest. The AC works very well. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. The staff is kind. Drinks and snacks available in the kitchen. Perfect location- walkable to Echo Beach and many restaurants, spas, shops.

A very beautiful courtyard, and the interior design of the public spaces is also lovely. The staff are all very nice, and there are several mango trees in the yard (the mangoes are delicious). The pool looks nice, though I didn’t use it this time. The hot water and WiFi are both stable. If I have the chance to return to Canggu, I would stay here again.

The only drawback is that some insects and ants can get into the single room, and maybe because the room has a wooden roof, some wood dust falls down after it rains. The towels are washed, but there may still be some stains that didn’t fully come out. The air conditioning works well at night, but during the day, it’s not as effective, and the outdoor areas feel more comfortable than the room :)

After our original hotel double booked we found this hotel last minute and fortunately it was absolutely beautiful, the location was excellent and the people were amazing. Unfortunately I fell ill on our 2nd day through no fault of the hotel and the owner even lent my husband her bike to go and get me some medication. This place really was 10/10

Loved the staff, its very quiet and off the main areas of Canggu Pool is incredible The room was lovely and just what I needed
