The Corduroy Hotel

I absolutely loved The Corduroy Hotel! I discovered so many great things about it — the location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets at the nearby bar. I especially loved the open design of the hotel — it made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and even a bit inspired. The space has a creative vibe and is also great for photography if you're looking for modern and artistic backdrops. The pool is clean and absolutely beautiful. My room on the second floor was cozy and stylish. I stayed for two nights, and the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable — I slept so well!

everything was good till they accuse us stealing

Our group of 18 guests booked 9 rooms from Feb 15-17, 2025, for a bachelorette party. While our stay started well, it took a turn after checkout. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠: 𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 26 hours after checkout, the hotel accused us of stealing a candle from a PUBLIC toilet and demanded $250 USD without any proof. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬: On 𝐅𝐞𝐛 𝟐𝟎, the owner messaged me on WhatsApp, falsely claiming we never responded, even though we replied immediately. 𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬: When asked for CCTV footage, they delayed for days, eventually claiming the footage showed many people but couldn’t prove anyone from our group took the candle. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Despite Booking.com advising against payment, the hotel kept demanding money. 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: A snake was found on the property, but no guests were warned about it. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: on 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎, the hotel manager contacted me again on WhatsApp, demanding we respond about the missing candle. 𝐈𝐟 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬, 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.

Communal areas nicely decorated

Hard to sleep. Light rooms with parts without blinds- was difficult to sleep- Over bearing noises from outside - felt like you were sleeping in a tent or camping. There was not a heads up that you have to order breakfast 24 hours in advance. I was left hungry on christmas morning. I asked if i could arrange anything to a rather rude and abrupt response. The snacks and drinks in the communal area are severely overpriced. The location of the property was off the beaten track, the roads were flooded to the beach so it was an effort to walk anywhere close.
