We had a truly wonderful experience at the Village Stay( It’s located at the North side of the Island). It felt like stepping into a warm, homely space where everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. The atmosphere was peaceful, natural, and beautifully simple, exactly what you would hope for in an authentic island stay. Although Mr. Vithushan wasn’t there in person, he coordinated everything perfectly for us, making sure our trip went smoothly. A very special thanks goes to his kind and caring mother, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. She treated us with such warmth and friendliness, it felt like staying with family. The rooms and spaces were well arranged, cozy, and filled with small thoughtful touches. The beds were super comfortable, and there were plenty of places to chill, relax, and take in the calmness of the wind and trees. The food was delicious, warm, and homely full of love and flavor. Even if you cannot communicate in English or Tamil, don’t worry you can still have a great stay. Smiles, gestures, and hand signals do the trick, and you’ll feel right at home. A few tips for travelers: • Don’t forget to bring your shampoo and conditioner, especially if you plan to swim (which is a must do experience here). After a refreshing swim, you can use water from the black tank to wash your hair and brush your teeth. • The beach is just a short walk away, perfect for morning or evening strolls. Watching the wild horses around 7–8 am or during sunset is magical. You’ll likely see over 50 of them roaming freely, and it’s an unforgettable sight. They usually stay in the West side of the Island. • Make sure you catch the sunset by the sand beach. Swimming towards the setting sun was one of the most surreal and breathtaking experiences of our stay.

Nous avons découvert en arrivant qu une chambre décrite dans booking pour deux acceptait en fait 4 personnes… (problème de description). L annulation de la deuxième chambre n a pas été possible. C est dommage

Delft Village stay provides the opportunity to witness life in Sri Lanka’s most remote island with limited impact to the people who live there or to the environment in which they live. Tommy is honest about facilities and what to expect. Suitable for adaptable travels. Thank you for a memorable stay. A 2 night stay allows time to see the main attractions .
