"The place is value for money however, the lack of transparency makes one very careful of where they book next time."

The location is central and the security staff are the most lovely people whilst still professional. The apartment and my time there was great, and the cleaner on check out was had the most amazing of hearts and enjoyed my time.

The Check-In process took literally an hour and a half as firstly you need to make sure you got internet connectivity and data as they will not send you checking in instructions until they make you follow several prompts where you also need to make an online payment. After booking you get a notification from Booking.com that you will need to pay in CASH a key-deposit fee of R200. Upon arrival I am told that it needs to be through an online link they send which I didn’t feel too safe about especially with my card details. Can I just reiterate that this amount was meant to be in CASH and I had the cash on me but I was made aware that I will not be allowed access to my room unless I pay it online. My battery was on 1% and just needed to go into my room to charge, as to be able to process this amount through their link, but they rather preferred that happens and had to ask around for a special adapter that can go along with my charger as to charge then only then was I able to get back online with them. Upon checkout, on Booking.com the deposit was said that I will receive it immediately after check out, I waited till the end of the day and when I called later on was told that it will take 3-4 working days for them to process it! Today is the end of the 5th day and still waiting on my deposit. When I called to query about it they said they can’t promise it being processed today and will have to wait etc. Was very disappointed in their communication and service and also lack of transparency within booking.com as to these fees and time it takes to return etc. coz people make plans based on these promises. Missed an important opening speech and mc’ing at a very important dinner I was attending due to all of this.

"The host were unfriendly on the phone and sometimes not answer . No remote for the parking area."

It was a self catering room.

The utensils were not adequate with old pots that were burned inside. Not stoppers in the sink and wash basin. I used my profile to watch Dstv. What would we have watched if we did not have Dstv profile. The only channel that was free was an American news channel.

"Terrible experience with this apartment"

Nothing.

Everything. The apartment was dirty and the floors were never cleaned. The towels were of cheap qualities, the microwave had a terrible smell. The WiFi did not work throughout our entire stay, I communicated this and was ignored multiple times. I never got back my R200 deposit in cash on check out. The bathroom ventilation system was filthy, shower handle was broken.

"Steer clear . As if your life depended on it"

I didn’t even get to sleep at the hotel . They demanded I eft R200 for the key deposit which I had immense trouble paying on the link they sent and was unable to . And as a result after having paid on booking.com . They refused to allow me into the room on account of the key deposit . I caution anyone against booking at the four seasons with booking.com . I got ripped off . Shame on you thieves

No computers so they could not check my booking nr to ascertain my room nr . I waited for two hours in the foyer whilst I struggled to make payment for key deposit
