"Loved the location and ingenious design of house"

10.0

Super location 5 mins easy walk from the cobbled old town of Rye. Well-decorated, warm, comfortable and fun for kids - ingenious design made a compact townhouse feel spacious. Had everything we needed and we loved our stay. Felt safe and secure. Loads of cafes, bakeries, restaurants and bars nearby, and a good little supermarket too. Train station and bus stop quite close and convenient services run to Hastings etc for day trips. Would recommend, especially for a family, or a couple (or two).

All good. Is close to a busy-ish road so if normal traffic noise affects you (it didn’t bother us) then consider bringing ear plugs. Only really noticed it 4-5pm.

The accommodation was very near the centre of Rye. It was very well equipped and we had a lovely stay.

The blinds in the master bedroom didn’t fully block out the light.

Accomodation had everything you needed - obviously a lot of thought and care has gone into providing a lovely base for exploring the ancient town of Rye. A few minutes walk from the town centre one way then the other way you can walk into the countryside to Camber Castle. Bed very comfy and the Bottle of wine a thoughtful touch, and the host Claudia very friendly and helpful.

Didn't affect us but the third floor (2 bedrooms) is reached by narrow and steep stairs so something to consider if anyone has access issues. You can't always park outside but there are a couple of car parks only a minute or 2 away.

"A great break in a lovely property in a beautiful town."

10.0

A really lovely spacious house, with secure fenced back garden with decking and lawn - great for our dog. Loved all the info being provided on the kitchen wall with great recommendations for places to go and good local restaurants / pubs / cafes. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of room at the dining table. Handy utility room off the kitchen with washer / dryer, fridge freezer and w.c. The bedrooms are great- we just used the master on the first floor where there is also a family bathroom as well as an en-suite (the shower is good and powerful). Large, very comfy bed. Two further bedrooms upstairs (one for kids, with bunk beds) and a lovely double. Decoration throughout is clean and fresh. We found the coat and shoe rack just inside the front door to be really handy! A lovely welcome bottle of wine too. Just a couple of minutes walk to the local supermarket or into the town. We were able to park immediately outside but the car park opposite is only £5 for 24 hours should there not be a space. Neap Tide is on the main road (with bus stop outside) but the double glazing means we didn’t notice the traffic and there are slatted wooden blinds if needed for privacy. There is a country park just at the rear. Great communication from Claudia too. We’ve already recommended to friends!

Only very minor thing is that the sofa isn’t very comfy despite quantities of cushions.

Lovely atmosphere, thoughtful little details, contact very friendly and uncomplicated.

Kitchen could be a bit better equipped, i.e. kitchen scissors
