The Midlands Hotel

The bed was fantastic. Many hotels have horrible soft beds that give me back ache. This property had a quality firm mattress and I woke up in the morning feeling great.

Overall a good experience - we werent there long so only really stayed overnight and didnt use any of the facilities etc.

Breakfast wasnt set up when we were leaving - around 8am but not a problem. No-one at reception when we left so we just left the keys which was not a major problem but better to leave handing the keys to someone.

The location and venue. The rooms have everything you need for a weekend/overnight stay. The place is clean and neat. The staff are friendly.

*Not all rooms have the same appliances (just double check when selecting a room - ie: Microwave etc.

Location

There was a conference at the hotel, and the noise went on until the early hours of the morning. The staff moved the conference attendees to an area directly outside my window. We did complain but nothing was done. There was no follow up or apology from any staff member.
