The Bliss Homestay

Location: Located in the hills of Ella it is isolated from the otherwise hectic Ella Downtown. Is very close to trek starting points and 5min away from Downtown by tuk-tuk. Accommodation: This Homestay is nestled in the trees with a comfortable beds and a great exterior space. Service: What an exceptional service! Heartwarming service from the whole family, always available and ready to help for activity organisation to organising transport and more. Food is incredible! Thank you

This was a peaceful, relaxing place to rest, away from the hubbub of the city. The room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Our host was readily available to help with any need. She arranged a tuk tuk driver at a reasonable rate into the city, gave helpful restaurant recommendations and cooked delicious meals. We ate two breakfasts and two dinners here. The meals were large enough to feed a family. Terrific Sri Lankan food. Very affordable. Highly recommended!

Our host was amazing throughout our stay and was always available via WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The property is situated in a quiet area with nice views over the mountains. We enjoyed an amazing dinner on our first night after a long day of travel and breakfast each morning was delicious! The host and her family were so thoughtful and caring and we loved Rex their family dog!

Very nice and helpful host. It is like you are having your own house. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Beds comfy and everything very clean. It is very nice to sit outside on the terrace and watch the ‚jungle life. We enjoyed it and would stay again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this family-run hotel and I am extremely satisfied! The cleanliness was impeccable, which deserves special recognition. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home with their kindness and professionalism. The interiors of the hotel are modern and elegantly furnished. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, high-quality service, and a personal touch!

The family were very welcoming and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived in their newly finished accommodation. It was so lovely and comfortable. They brought us a pot of tea and biscuits, and we sat on the balcony and admired the view. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were amazing, and excellent value. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay with them again.

We had an excellent stay at the Bliss Homestay and would happily come back! Everything was super clean, a spacious room and bathroom, delicious breakfasts and dinners with a lot of food and variety. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet, you only hear birds and cikadas at night. The little terrace in front of the room has a great view and the property is surrounded by green. The host was super friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of suggestions for stuff to do around. We can only recommend the Bliss Homestay.

The wonderful host has such an incredible smile and laugh. She made us feel at home straight away and was constantly offering us tea. The provided breakfasts were absolutely massive and delicious, and the one dinner we had at Bliss was equally good. The room was simple but spacious and clean, and you take breakfast on an outdoor table looking over the beautiful forest and beyond. The homestay is a 10 minute Tuktuk ride out of Ella but you are given the number of a fantastic driver who will take you anywhere you need to go in the area at any time.
