Mountain View Shepherds Hut

It was so peaceful! It had everything we needed and all the thoughtful touches really made a difference to our stay. Highly recommend this place!

Spotlessly clean. Located a stone’s throw from the beach. Quiet. Comfortable. Beautiful views. Lovely host and a warm welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending this little gem.

Lovely cosy hut - warmed up v quickly on a wild night

Our stay in the shepherd’s hut was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful escape from everything, so calm and incredibly relaxing. Waking up to the gentle sound of rain, along with the distant noises of cows and sheep, was such a special experience. It created the perfect countryside atmosphere and made the morning feel slow, cosy, and refreshing. The hut itself was very comfortable, especially the bed we both slept so well. You can really tell how much care and attention Linda has put into the place. Every detail felt thoughtful and full of warmth, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Me and my husband absolutely loved it here and would happily return. It was a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.

Such a unique place to stay in a gorgeous area, the surrounding town had lovely pubs, good food and we went for a lovely hike nearby- wish we’d had longer to explore the area! Could definitely spend a couple nights here and not run out of things to do- and plenty of leaflets/ brochures in the property to help find activities. Host was so helpful and lovely over the phone and check in was a breeze- we were also kindly left some milk, tea/ coffee supplies and some breakfast for the morning!! The property was clean and warmed up in no time with the heaters provided- would be a treat to stay again.

We had a little bit of trouble with the hot water heating up for the shower- seemed to take a long time to heat up to get only a limited supply of hot water, plus we were wary about keeping the hot water turned on for too long as it was advised not to keep it switched on for more than 2 hours at a time.

I loved how cosy it was. It had all you needed and it was a good location for shops, beach and nearby towns.

A lovely quiet spot, with everthing you could want supplied in mountain view, no WiFi no harm.

It was a perfect escape for the night. Cosy and comfortable. It was so toasty warm. Lying in bed listening to the wind and rain was just beautiful.

There was nothing not to like.
