Minor thing, fairly lumpy track to get there

The house was faultless welcome pack on arrival. Plenty of games and ps4 to keep boys busy and occupied. The space and facilities where great also bbq in shed outside and a fire pit. A home from home will def b back again. Also dog friendly and we took our Cooper on first trip. He had a lot of space outside to run around.🐶🐾

Holly Tree Cottage is an exceptional place; the decor inside is exquisite, the furniture is beautiful and so so comfy, and we all slept soundly on the very comfortable beds. The cottage itself reminded me of a French chateau, with its beautiful patio doors and architecture. The hosts, Lisa and Mark, are so down to earth and eager to cater to your every need; we arrived to find they had left fresh bread, butter, milk, crisps and chocolate as welcome gifts. The cottage has underfloor heating although to be honest, we never needed to turn on the heating as the cottage was already warm inside.The views from the cottage are spectacular; standing outside early morning on a summers day, listening to the birds sing, with the Irish Sea as the backdrop. We would most definitely recommend Holly Tree Cottage as a fantastic place to stay, as it is central to all amenities and tourist attractions including The Mourne Mountains, Castlewellan Forest Park, Tollymore Forest, Seaforde Butterfly Farm, and the lists goes on .... and on!

The side road up to the cottage is very stony and bumpy so please drive very very slowly over the stones, it's all worth it when you reach the cottage!

The house, location and views were outstanding. Everything you could want and need was included in the property. It is the perfect place to stay for a large family or group of friends during any season. Only a stone's throw away from Silent Valley and Bloody Bridge and a short drive to Newcastle and Kilkeel. Mark and Lisa were excellent hosts: friendly and responsive. We cannot wait to come back and stay at Holly Tree Cottage.

I liked the space and the quietness, the location was ideal too, not too far from shops and Newcastle. The owners were very nice and accommodating.

Excellent hosts, full instructions provided allowing us to reach the area accordingly and use the facilities of the house. House is very spacious and well-maintained. It has loads of games and the kids really enjoyed the stay. The hosts provided a welcome pack - bread, cookie, chocolate and crisps which is grand. Excellent value for the price.

The cottage was amazing, The views were lovely. My stay there was one I will not forget and will be back again, kids loved it, didn't want to leave ..
