Captain Cook Riverside Walk

Lovely place and location, walking into whitby was nice along the viaduct and walking to Ruswarp also. Place is situated in a quiet spot and next to the river. Peaceful. If warmer it would have been nice to sit outside though the cold kept us in. Host let us know the tiles in the kitchen/lounge (downstairs) were cold so was good to have that tip prior to visiting as i had slippers for downstairs. Great place :)

Wonderful location. Quiet & cosy. Loved the location & communication from the owner was good. Would highly recommend for couples or young families.

Location was amazing, even in the rain! Such a cute & cosy cottage, saw plenty of birds, watched a Heron on the riverside, although he did have his back to the water! Peaceful, calming & relaxing. Would love to stay there again.

This wasn't the fault of the cottage at all, but i had to leave after one night because of a family emergency. I very much hope to re-book & get the full experience soon.

The location of the cottage on the river was very nice. I loved the view of the viaduct. The cottage itself was clean and tidy and homely.

The river side was a bit over grown and unkempt. The children's play ground was one tyre swing and a slightly broken see saw and was not really child friendly.

The location of the property was lovely and not too far away from the center of Whitby. The property was as described on the website we used to book. The property was lovely and clean and easy to access with onsite parking.

Due to the fact that whilst we stayed it was extremely cold we needed to use the heating system. However the thermostat was very near to the kitchen radiator so the temperature on the thermostat was being reached quicker that then the room temperature actually was. We has to turn the valve to off on this particular radiator so that the heating would stay on. The room downstairs was really cold until we did this on the second day. I don't think this would be an issue for guests staying during warmer months of the year.
